Burst of Spring

I love planting pansies and this year the deer couldn't eat them due to our new fence! When these yellow beauties began to bloom, it felt like Spring had arrived. I continue to compose my paintings by thinking of shapes. Contrasting the bright yellows and greens of the foreground with the muted, grayed tones in the background set off the stars magnificently.
